Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) women’s basketball Player of the Year, Jasmine Dickey of Delaware, and former Blue Hen head coach Natasha Adair were honored by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) during the reveal of the association’s postseason honors at the Women’s Final Four on Thursday evening.

Dickey was named a 2022 WBCA All-American Honorable Mention, while Adair was recognized by the WBCA as a National Coach of the Year finalist, after guiding Delaware to its first CAA Championship and NCAA Tournament berth since 2013.

Dickey ranks third in the NCAA, averaging 25.1 points per game, and is third in total points, with 783 this season. Additionally, she was third in the CAA, grabbing 10.2 rebounds per game while recording 19 double-doubles to rank 13th nationally. She produced one of the most impressive double-doubles in college basketball this season, setting career-highs with 52 points and 18 rebounds on February 4.

The senior guard/forward led Delaware to its third CAA Championship title and received CAA Tournament Most Outstanding Performer honors, following three consecutive double-doubles. She averaged 26.0 points and 14.7 rebounds per game throughout the tournament as the Blue Hens claimed the conference title and a trip to the big dance.

The Baltimore, Md. native is the second player in Delaware program history to collect All-American recognition, joining former Blue Hen Elena Delle Donne. She also became the first player since Delle Donne in 2012 and 2013 to earn back-to-back CAA Player of the Year honors. Dickey concluded her career in the Blue & Gold uniform totaling 1,981 points, 1,038 rebounds, 213 steals, 192 assists, 82 steals and 48 double-doubles.

In her fifth season with the Blue Hens, Adair led Delaware to a 24-8 record, marking back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time since 2013-14. After falling in the Championship last season, Adair led the Blue Hens back to the championship game this season, winning the CAA crown before earning a bid in the NCAA Tournament. Adair coached Dickey and Ty Battle to back-to-back first-team All-CAA selections and Dickey to back-to-back Player of the Year honors.
