The Official 2018 Flo40 Rankings

R.J. Barrett Takes Over No. 1 Spot In New 2018 Flo40 Ranking...

With the game-changing announcement of Marvin Bagley III reclassifying to 2017, there was bound to be a new king of the 2018 Flo40. Ironically, the new top spot belongs to a prospect who also recently moved up in class: R.J. Barrett.

After keeping a lock on the No. 1 ranking in 2019 since its initial release, Barrett, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Montverde Academy (FL), is now, and undoubtedly, the best overall player in high school basketball.

Spartanburg Day School (SC) and highlight sensation Zion Williamson stays at No. 2, and Westtown School (PA) wing Cameron Reddish moves up to No. 3. Meanwhile, Mater Dei (CA) center Bol Bol slides to No. 4, and Tre Jones solidifies his title as the nation’s top point guard at No. 5.

The biggest change, however, is obviously caused by Barrett as he moves classes and still stays No. 1, but he is not the only prospect to reclassify and shake up these rankings. His prep teammate, Andrew Nembhard, also moved to 2018 and debuts at No. 22, essentially taking a spot once occupied by No. 9 Jontay Porter, who announced he will play at Missouri during the 2017-18 season.

There were also three new additions -- Darius Bazley (No. 32), Anfernee Simons (No. 37), and Nassir Little (No. 39) -- to this fresh set of rankings.

So much can change over these next few months, but it's clear as day right now that it will be incredibly hard to take Barrett off his new throne.
