The Stanford wrestling program, along with 10 other programs were set to be cut in 2021. What head coach Jason Borrelli and his team had to endure due to COVID restrictions was extremely challenging. But they persevered and overcame the odds to find Shane Griffith in the NCAA finals live on ESPN. A challenge on the mat at the end of regulation became an opportunity for Shane to put on his KEEP STANFORD WRESTLING sweatshirt and the national airtime may have been the spark the movement needed as all 11 sports were eventually restored at Stanford.Oklahoma State At Stanford Behind The Scenes
