Jonesboro's M.J. Walker Not Interested In Being Average, Goes Off For 41 Points

Walker Not Interested In Being Average

FORT MYERS, Fla. — M.J. Walker is not interested in being average. Honestly, he can’t be. The Jonesboro (GA) shooting guard feels he has to bring it and stand out each night at the Culligan City of Palms Classic.

Mission accomplished so far.

The No. 22 prospect in 2017 did more than just stand out Saturday night. He shined. Playing against fellow Flo40 guard John Petty and Mae Jemison (AL), Walker went off for a crazy 41 points and eight rebounds in Jonesboro’s 59-57 win at Suncoast Arena.

Walker is a special talent with a strong, next-level frame. This performance was just another example. Walker finished 13 for 25 from the field, including 7 for 13 from 3-point range, and 8 for 9 from the free throw line.

Don’t expect this uncommitted prospect to stop this type of production anytime soon.
