No. 1 La Lumiere School Celebrates Chick-fil-A Championship With Style

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The water was refreshing. So was the celebration. The No. 1 team in the nation is all about staying loose and having fun, and it is shown both on the court and off the court.

On Friday night at the Chick-fil-A Classic, top-ranked La Lumiere School (IN) cruised to a comfortable 77-58 win over local squad W.J. Keenan (SC) to win the National Division championship and remain undefeated heading into the holiday break.

Jaren Jackson, Jr. dropped 20 points and nine rebounds, Brian Bowen and Jordan Poole each added 18, and Tyler Campbell chipped in 11 points with dished out seven assists for the Lakers.

Tariq Simmons had a game-high 22 for Keenan.

In the American Division, No. 23 Wheeler (GA) took care of John Carroll (MD), 64-53, behind Darius Perry’s 15 points.
