FORT MYERS, Fla. — A consolation championship is by no means what Darius Garland originally wanted, but all things considered, the Brentwood Academy (TN) guard will take it.

The Culligan City of Palms Classic was a challenge. No team was an easy out. But the No. 11 prospect in 2018 did plenty of damage to help his squad reach the consolation title and beat Norcross (GA) 58-56 on Dec. 21.

Garland averaged 19.0 points and 4.7 assists throughout the event and solidified his status as one of the best juniors to lace them up in high school so far this season.
