St. Anthony (TX) Big Man Charles Bassey Taking Sophomore Season In Stride

SPRINGFIELD, MA — No matter the roller coaster it was prior to the season, fighting with team eligibility issues, St. Anthony (TX) big man Charles Bassey has taken it all in stride. That even includes going through some growing pains with losses.

Regarded as one of the top players for 2019, Bassey was productive in his squad’s 62-53 loss to Hudson Catholic by posting 17 points, 14 rebounds, four steals and five blocks on Saturday during the Spalding Hoophall Classic.

Bassey, who won the team MVP award in the loss, spoke with FloHoops’ Jaki Golder about his squad playing a national schedule this season.
