Andrew Nembhard, Montverde Eager For Next Showcase Challenge At National Hoopfest In Tampa

Ask Andrew Nembhard about one of his team's upcoming opponents this weekend. The Montverde Academy (FL) standout sophomore will tell you everything you need to know. Although the last game had ended just minutes before, he knew his squad was playing against one of the best seniors in the country on Saturday at the ARS Rescue Rooter National Hoopfest in Tampa, Florida.

That didn’t stop Nembhard from reflecting on what had happened, though. His team was rolling. He had dropped a game-high 22 points in the Eagles’ 73-67 win over ranked Bishop Montgomery (CA) during a star-studded Monday for the Spalding Hoophall Classic. Yet, he already knew to move on.

No, No. 6 Montverde isn’t playing No. 5 Memphis East — a team which has given them its only two losses on buzzer beaters this month — again. However, it is playing 2017 Flo40 No. 6 Kevin Knox and Tampa Catholic in their backyard.

Will Nembhard have to guard one of the more prolific scorers in the country come 6 PM on Saturday? It was unclear earlier this week, but Nembhard is ready for the challenge if it happens and eager to prove the Eagles are the best team in the country.
