High School Rewind: Jonathan Isaac Showed Insane Potential At IMG Academy
As a sure-fire lottery pick in Thursday’s NBA draft, it’s easy to understand the value of Florida State’s Jonathan Isaac. The potential payoff for the 6-foot-11 wing is through the roof.
With high-level athleticism, length, and the ability to guard multiple positions, teams are not just salivating at the player Isaac is now but also what he can become.
What’s crazy is he could have already been in the NBA. In 2016, in the middle of averaging 17.6 points and 10 rebounds at IMG Academy (FL), Isaac was going to test the NBA draft waters.
Of course, he didn’t make the jump. Instead, Isaac went on to average 12 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks for the Seminoles this past season.
Isaac, who is still developing offensively, has been on a collision course with the league for years now and started showing his insane potential in high school.
