Defenders Target Duke Commit Arieal Scott

HAMPTON, VA -- The Spiece Lady Gym Rats only needed a few minutes to heat up against the Central Florida Elite, and when they did, things sure got hot at the Boo Williams SportsPlex on Friday. All it took was one domino to fall for the 2-7 (non-GEYBL) Gym Rats to finally start clicking, a task that is easier said than done in spring ball. And that domino was Duke-commit Arieal Scott. 

Scott, a 2018 guard out of Urbana, Illinois, got things going with her signature 3-ball and didn't stop until the final buzzer. Scott went 3 for 3 from behind the arc in the first quarter and finished the game a perfect 6 for 6 from downtown -- missing only one total shot from field. 

With a 22-point performance to open up the GEYBL season, FloHoops Jaki Goldner spoke with her about what to expect from the Spiece Indy Heat, the pressure's Scott faces as a Duke commit, and how she'll prepare for the #Road2Chi.
