Nike EYBL Prospect Pass: BABC's Cole Swider

INDIANAPOLIS — Call it the coming-out party everyone involved in high school hoops is invited to attend. It seems every year there is a prospect who rises up to steal the show, and this Nike EYBL season belongs to Cole Swider so far.

A 6-foot-8 small forward for BABC (MA), Swider burst onto the scene two weeks ago in Session I with a bucket spree, including a 37-point performance against Team Takeover (DC), and followed it up in Session II with more solid play at Jonathan Byrd’s Fieldhouse this past weekend.

Swider currently averages 20.6 points and 6.0 rebounds through eight games.

Perhaps above the stellar scoring arsenal he has displayed through the first two weekends is the attention he is getting from high-major programs across the country. With offers already stacked up from the likes of Boston College, UConn, Creighton, Indiana, Miami (FL), Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, and Xavier, among others, don’t be surprised to hear Swider become a household name as he continues to splash the nets.
