Southern Stampede's Drue Drinnon Stuns Undefeated MOKAN Elite With Crazy Four-Point Play

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Down three points to the league’s best team with 2.7 seconds to play? No problem for Southern Stampede (GA). Not when the play is called for Drue Drinnon at least.

For most of the Nike EYBL, MOKAN Elite (KS) had been the team always finding a way to win. On Friday, that all changed at LakePoint Sporting Community’s Champions Center thanks to Drinnon.

Coming out of a timeout, after MOKAN’s Jontay Porter missed a pair of free throws to ice it, not only did Drinnon sink a game-tying 3-pointer, but he was also fouled on the play. He sank the free throw to absolutely stun the league’s last undefeated squad, 54-53.
