Robert Woodard Looks To Lead Mississippi Express Back Into Peach Jam Consideration
Sitting on the bubble is never fun. It’s even worse when your squad is on the wrong side of it. That’s where Mississippi Express (MS) is currently, on the outside looking in, and needs a near-flawless Session IV this weekend in Los Angeles to keep its Nike EYBL Peach Jam hopes alive.
Fortunately, one of its star players has found his rhythm and is playing his best basketball of the season.
Closing out Session III, Robert Woodward was stellar. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard posted 20 points and 12 rebounds in a win against Portland Basketball Club (OR) and 21 points and 15 rebounds in a loss to Nike Team Florida (FL).
In arguably the toughest division in the league, Mississippi Express (MS) owns a 5-7 record heading into the final set of games in Los Angeles. If this squad wants to secure an at-large bid to the championships in July, Woodard is going to have to be the player to take his game to an even higher level.
