Portland Basketball Club's Elijah Gonzales Finds New Home At Saint Peter's

The hashtag #HeartOverHeight says it all. Elijah Gonzales may have always been the smallest player on the court during the Nike EYBL season, but that didn’t matter. The Portland Basketball Club (OR) point guard found ways to make an impact.

On Friday, the 5-foot-8 Gonzales and Oregon 6A Player of the Year at Clackamas (OR) signed with Saint Peter’s.

Gonzales originally committed to Portland State before electing play in the EYBL this spring following a coaching change at the program. In 16 games, Gonzales led PBC with 13.1 points and 4.4 assists and consistently made huge plays, such as dropping a crazy floater to seal an upset win over E1T1 during Session IV in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Needless to say, there's a good chance the Peacocks are getting a steal in Gonzales for next season.
