UPlay Canada Beats Nike South Beach On Goaltending Call At The Buzzer

THOUSAND OAKS, CA -- There are ways to lose a game. Then there's the Nike South Beach (FL) way.

In firm control to get a much-needed win against UPlay Canada, everything took a turn for the worst during Nike EYBL Session IV at Sports Academy on Saturday.

First, star forward Khavon Moore missed both free throws to put the game out of reach. Then, following the second miss, UPlay's Isaiah Bujdoso heaved it from beyond halfcourt. The shot was dead on but bounced up off the front of the rim.

Sound bad? It gets worse.

Instead of letting the last-second desperation shot decide the game, Nike South Beach forward Collin Castleton touched the ball when it first came off the rim. Goaltending was called, and the 3-pointer gave UPlay Canada a 62-61 win.

The Nike EYBL had some crazy moments this season, but perhaps none could top this.
