Team Final's X Factor: Louis King

Team Final's X Factor: Louis King

The fate of a full entrance to the summer’s biggest event rests on one game. It might seem like a tough deal, but it could be much worse given the circumstances. Team Final (PA) has a chance to get into Peach Jam despite a losing regular-season record in the Nike EYBL.

Heading into the July 12 play-in game with Nike Team Florida (FL), a squad stacked with 2019 talent, all eyes will be on Team Final’s star, 2018 Flo40 No. 4 Cameron Reddish, to see if he can help lead his team into pool play. And although the 6-foot-7 versatile wing will get the attention, there’s a player on the other wing who might be the biggest difference maker:

Louis King.

At 6-foot-6, King pieced together a strong season, averaging 17.6 points and 6.4 rebounds, and was the secondary scoring option and threat Team Final absolutely needed.

There is a direct correlation with King’s scoring and Team Final’s success, too.

In his team's seven wins, King averaged 21.3 points and 5.7 rebounds.

In his team's nine losses, King averaged 14.8 points and 6.9 rebounds.

If King can get going, the chances to solidify a spot in Pool C are much higher, and it puts Team Final in prime position to play spoiler.
