Malik Newman Drops 16 Points Against HSC Roma In Kansas Debut
Malik Newman will likely be looked to fill some big shoes for Kansas this season, but it didn’t appear he felt any of that pressure during his debut in Italy.
In the Jayhawks’ commanding 90-56 victory against HSC Roma, the sophomore transfer from Mississippi State poured in a game-high 16 points on 6-for-7 shooting while adding four rebounds and three assists in nearly 18 minutes.
It was an impressive performance, no doubt, especially for Newman’s first full game in a KU uniform, and he will look to add to it Thursday at 11:30 AM CT live on FloHoops.
