There are many incredible ways to describe Howard Pulley (MN) and Apple Valley (MN) star floor general Tre Jones. Whether he is referred to as the nation’s top point guard, a leader, or a winner, just be sure to now add future Duke Blue Devil to the premier list.

The 6-foot-2 Jones, who is ranked No. 6 in the 2018 Flo40, committed to Duke and head coach Mike Krzyzewski on Sunday at Cedar Valley Church in Bloomington, MN.

After guiding the Eagles to the Minnesota Class 4A state title with a dominant 24-point, 18-rebound, 5-assist virtuoso performance as a junior, Jones took his game to an even higher level during the Nike EYBL regular season by averaging 18.8 points., 5.1 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game to lead Howard Pulley to a 13-3 record.

FloHoops tabbed him as the league’s Most Valuable Player.

For Duke, it lands its cornerstone piece for 2018 and marks the second straight year landing the top-ranked point guard in the class. For Jones, he will follow in the legendary footsteps of his brother, Tyus, who led the Blue Devils to a national championship in 2015.

Needless to say, it is a perfect match.

FloHoops will feature the Jones family in an upcoming documentary releasing at the end of the month. Stay tuned!
