Memphis East Holds Off Collin Sexton, Pebblebrook At City of Palms

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- So what if it was the final game of a long day of hoops inside FSW's Suncoast Arena? No. 13 Memphis East and Pebblebrook weren't about to give in, and nobody still at the Culligan City of Palms Classic minded one bit.

Monday's finale was not for the mentally weak. It was a battle, one that stirred up plenty of emotion, and it was Memphis East that had the last laugh, 76-74.

Despite Collin Sexton, the No. 13 prospect in 2017, living at the foul line for his game-high 33 points and Elias Harris adding 25 for Pebblebrook, Memphis East had three players in double figures, including guard Alex Lomax with 17, to advance to Tuesday's semifinals.

If this is any indicator for what the rest of the tournament will be, get ready, because it might get crazy.
