SPRINGFIELD, MA —There was no doubt about it. Nazeron Reid felt his squad needed a national win. The Roselle Catholic (NJ) big man knew Saturday afternoon was a great opportunity to make it happen, and what a loud statement it was at the Spalding Hoophall Classic.

Reid posted an electric triple-double of 24 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in the Lions’ 96-76 win over Weaver High School (CT). He also got it done on the defensive end with three steals and five blocks.

Whether it was operating out of the low or high post, Reid, the No. 14 prospect for 2018, used his big frame to either finish strong at the rim or pass it out to open shooters. Nathaniel Pierre-Louis scored a game-high 27 points.

Reid was the star, though. His Most Valuable Player plaque proved it. But not as much as his stat line in one of Roselle Catholic’s biggest wins of the season.
