St Benedict's (NJ) Sophomore Precious Achiuwa Displays Major Talent At National Hoopfest

TAMPA, FL — His name wasn’t next to the number he wore in the official program, but it did not take long for anyone at Berkeley Prep to know who the best player on the court was on Saturday. The public address announcer said Precious Achiuwa plenty.

During the ARS Rescue Rooter National Hoopest — the final stop in an intense three-city showcase — the 6-foot-8 St. Benedict's (NJ) wing was an absolute star displaying his potential.

It wasn’t just the 20 points on Saturday or the game MVP honors after the fact in the 67-46 win over Tampa Prep (FL). It was how he got there.

With a big, athletic frame and long arms, Achiuwa made his presence felt on both ends of the floor.

The scary part is he is only a sophomore and is working diligently to be the next star.
