Linden Enters PrimeTime Shootout With Big Credentials

The best team in New Jersey might not have a high-major starting five or a storied history. It might not even be a public school. That’s the type of year Linden is having as the regular season winds down.

Equipped with speedy guard play and a knack for winning, the Tigers have stacked up victories over some of the state’s best, including a 64-58 win over Roselle Catholic (NJ) on Tuesday. Linden also boasts a big-time win over No. 19 The Patrick School to earn the No. 1 seed in the Union County Tournament and a bye into the quarterfinals on February 18.

Although many will look at The Patrick School as the favorite to take the title, don’t sleep on Tavon Jones and a squad ready to make some noise.

There is some business to take care of first, though. Linden will play host to No. 11 Montverde Academy (FL) on Friday for the PrimeTime Shootout. It will also be live on FloHoops on Sunday against Trenton Catholic Academy at 12:30 PM ET.
