Darius Bazley Boosts MeanStreets' Stock For A Peach Jam Run
It’s not uncommon to see a new player join a team halfway through the Nike EYBL season, but Darius Bazley has changed the game, and outlook, for MeanStreets (IL) moving forward.
A 6-foot-9 power forward for 2018 with great length, athleticism, and the ability to stretch the floor, Bazley, who recently decommitted from Ohio State, gives MeanStreets the post player it needed to take the next step and made a major impact immediately, posting nearly 20 points while adding 10 rebounds per game in Session III last weekend.
Heading into the final session in Los Angeles next weekend, MeanStreets, at 8-4, is sitting in the driver’s seat for a Peach Jam bid. Adding Bazley now makes this squad even more dangerous and makes a run at a championship an even greater possibility.
