How Archie Miller Can Make Indiana A Big Ten Title Contender

With a new job comes fresh expectations, and perhaps no one in college basketball will feel the pressure of those quite like Archie Miller at Indiana.
As now one of the highest-paid coaches in the country, the 38-year-old Miller, who left Dayton to take over the historic Hoosiers program, will be expected to put a squad together to compete for Big Ten titles and deep NCAA Tournament runs.
How can he make that happen? It all starts on the recruiting trail with the 2018 class.
Miller certainly isn’t shy to go after some of the nation’s top prospects, either. Indiana is seeking an elite point guard in Darius Garland (Flo40 No. 6) as well as long, athletic scorers in Jalen Carey, Time Finke, Keldon Johnson (Flo40 No. 10), and Louis King (Flo40 No. 24).
Landing any pair of those players would be a major step in making the Hoosiers a contender once again, and you better believe Miller and his staff will be at Nike Peach Jam from July 12-16 to watch some of these coveted recruits play.
