Staying Home: Flo40 No. 26 Ayo Dosunmu Commits To Illinois

Early Thursday morning, Ayo Dosunmu changed his Twitter profile picture to all black before he went to school. It was his big announcement day, and he wanted to keep the suspense high.

Would the Chicago native and Morgan Park (IL) star stay near home at Illinois? Or, would the 2018 Flo40 No. 26 prospect leave the nest and choose Wake Forest?

Fast forward almost exactly 12 hours and the world got the answer.

Dosunmu, one of the best prospects in the country at getting to the rim, changed his profile picture to a photo of himself in a Fighting Illini jersey and announced his commitment to Illinois.

This is a huge win for first-year head coach Brad Underwood, as he lands arguably the state’s best player to start his first full recruiting class.
