Call it an off night. Rice simply didn't have the shooting touch at Tudor Fieldhouse and eventually fell to Georgia State 75-54 on Nov. 14 in Houston.

A.J. Lapray led the way for the host Owls with 12 points, and Ako Adams added 10. But Rice shot just 35.7 percent for the game and only cashed in 16 of 26 free throws to fall to 0-2 to begin the 2017-18 season.

Jeff Thomas scored a game-high 18 points for Georgia State.
