No. 15 Mater Dei Escapes West Linn (OR) Without Three Key Players

It was a swift kick. One second they were fine, then all of a sudden three key players on No. 15 Mater Dei went down with a stomach bug.  Though the cause isn't known, the timing of it all is leading the coaching staff to believe it's food poisoning. 

Despite being without their captain, Spencer Freedman, and two freshmen that see significant time in Devin Askew & Will Breidenbach, the Monarchs came together and beat West Linn (OR) 59-71. 

Coach Gary McKnight acknowledged there were some guys that came into this tournament expecting to sit and in a situation like this, he was pleased to see they stepped up.
