Howard Pulley Wins Hometown Tournament
Howard Pulley 17u EYBL team stays undefeated.

It finally happened, at the Howard Pulley Invitational, the hometown EYBL team earned the opportunity to play against the best from the Under Armour Association. Last week, it almost became a reality but due to a semifinal loss, KC Run GMC was eliminated.

Both teams were missing contributing players, Howard Pulley without Gary Trent Jr. and Run GMC without Bol Bol. Both players provide different advantages for their respective teams, so it was interesting to see how this game played out. Howard Pulley pulled out to an early lead, but Run GMC was not going to make it easy for the No. 1 team in EYBL. It wasn't until 9 minutes left in the game, KC Run GMC earned their first lead of the game. It was short lived. Brad Davison and Gabriel Kalscheur hit clutch shots to extend the lead to four. Eventually Run GMC would pull within one, but it was already too late. Because of late game fouls, Howard Pulley would win 73-61. Mitch Ballock and Elijah Childs had huge games. Ballock hitting big threes while Elijah Childs provided dominating inside game. Howard Pulley's Brad Davison had 26points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Tre Jones provided 16 points and 11 assists. Also, Jones had the play of a game with a thunderous dunk through traffic. Daniel Oturu had 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Kalscheur provided 11 points.

In the 16u final, KC Run GMC won. They avenged an early tournament loss to Howard Pulley.

Next up for FloHoops will be the Rumble in the Bronx. Coverage will be provided from June 10-12.
