Staying Home: Flo40 No. 8 Darius Garland Picks Vanderbilt
Brentwood Academy (TN) star point guard Darius Garland, the 2018 No. 8 prospect, committed to Vanderbilt over other finalists Indiana, Kentucky, and UCLA.
After a long recruiting process, one that saw several of the nation’s top programs offer scholarships, Darius Garland decided the best fit was to stay home. The 2018 Flo40 No. 8 prospect from Brentwood Academy (TN) announced he will sign with Vanderbilt on Monday.

A 6-foot-1 point guard with elite quickness and major scoring ability, Garland chose to play for head coach Bryce Drew and the Commodores over finalists Indiana, Kentucky, and UCLA and joins Porter Gaud (SC) wing Aaron Nesmith in what is now a game-changing 2018 class for Vanderbilt.
