Loyola's Aundre Jackson Shows Heart In Loss

ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands — Aundre Jackson is not a man of many words, especially Friday after a frustrating loss to start the Paradise Jam, but he knows what it takes. As an undersized forward, it all comes down to heart.

That was on full display for the Loyola forward against Saint Joseph’s at the University of the Virgin Islands. Jackson scored 22 points on 9-for-11 shooting with three rebounds to help the Ramblers (3-1) put up a fight against the Hawks (3-0) before the comeback bid fell short 71-57.

Jackson was joined by Clayton Custer (13) and Milton Doyle (10) in double figures for Loyola, while Lamarr Kimble and Shavar Newark put up 26 points and 20 points, respectively, for Saint Joseph’s.

Loyola will face the loser of Ole Miss against Oral Roberts on Saturday. The game will be live on FloHoops.
