After qualifying for the 2023 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, Creighton Women’s Basketball is hoping for more success in the 2023-2024 season. 

The Bluejays are a popular selection in most preseason polls entering the year following a 22-9 season that included a 15-5 BIG EAST record. Creighton's season ended abruptly in the tournament when No. 11 seed Mississippi State pulled off the 81-66 upset in the first round. 

The Athletic’s preseason poll ranked Creighton No. 24 while other “way too early” polls posted earlier this season also had the Bluejays firmly in the top 25. That’s largely because the team returns four key players from 2023 in Lauren Jensen, Morgan Maly, Molly Mogensen and Emma Ronsiek. 

But the schedule won’t make it easy. 

Trips to Nebraska along with the Women's Cancun Challenge slate that includes Georgia Tech and Michigan State make for a difficult preseason schedule. The Bluejays then begin the BIG EAST season on Dec. 13 at Marquette.

When Is The BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Tournament?

BIG EAST Teams will compete for the automatic qualifier for the 2024 NCAA Tournament beginning March 8 in Uncasville, Conn. The BIG EAST Tournament Championship Game is March 11. 

When Is The 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament?

Selection Sunday is March 17, 2024 for the NCAA Women’s Tournament. The first four will tip-off on March 20 with the round of 64 beginning on March 22.
