UConn Vs. Xavier Baseball Stream: How To Watch

Xavier baseball, last year's BIG EAST Championship winner, heads to Storrs for a showdown with UConn baseball, as the two BIG EAST Conference teams that represented the league in the 2023 NCAA Tournament square off for the first time in 2024. All three games will be streamed on FloBaseball.

The BIG EAST-opening series for both teams promises to set the tone for the league. Xavier comes in with a top-40 national RPI after taking on a non-conference gauntlet that included matchups with reigning national LSU, perennial powerhouse Clemson, 2023 Super Regional qualifier Indiana State, and a Florida Gulf Coast team with lofty expectations.

The Musketeers' series win over FGCU is a highlight of their first few weeks of the campaign. Xavier looks to parlay the tests from out-of-league, jumping into the BIG EAST against one of its most consistent teams of recent years.

UConn sports a strong RPI of its own, having lingered around 55. The Huskies are No. 69 ahead of the conference-opening weekend.

Players to Watch

Matt McCormick, Xavier First Baseman

A 2nd Team All-BIG EAST honoree in 2023, Matt McCormick heads into 2024 conference play swinging a hot bat. McCormick's 10 home runs rank just outside the top 50 of all hitters in Div. I baseball and leads the conference.

He's homered in each of the last three series against Indiana State, VCU and Bowling Green, including a two-homer performance against VCU.

Paul Tammaro, UConn Infielder

Multi-dimensional infielder Paul Tammaro is batting .308 on the season with six multiple-hit games since the beginning of March. His two-hit, three-stolen base outing powered UConn to a road win over Auburn. He swiped two bases and doubled against perennial powerhouse UCLA, and went 3-for-4 to open April in a win over CCSU.

Tammaro's .447 on-base percentage leads the Huskies, which he has parlayed into a team-best eight stolen bases.
