Lake Superior State looks to build momentum in 2025–26 after being picked 10th in the GLIAC preseason poll. The Lakers finished 5–23 overall and 2–13 in league play last season.

The program continues to emphasize development, defense, and rebounding as it builds toward long-term growth. The Lakers stayed competitive late in games last year despite a rebuilding phase.

New contributors will be tasked with improving consistency and offensive production. Returning players are expected to anchor a lineup that continues to gain experience in conference play.

With renewed focus and incremental improvement, Lake Superior State enters the season motivated to climb the GLIAC standings and reassert itself as a tough, hard-nosed opponent.
