Cal State East Bay men’s basketball has authored one of the most remarkable turnarounds, transforming from a sub-.500 squad into a historic, undefeated powerhouse in just a single season.

A year ago, the Pioneers finished 11–17 overall and 9–13 in conference play; solid but unspectacular, and far from championship contention. Fast forward to this season, the program has stunningly flipped the script: 33–0 overall, a perfect 22–0 in conference, and now a spot in the Elite Eight.
