The season is over. His prep career is finished. All that remains is the decision for McDonald’s All-American Brandon McCoy to make it all official.
With a handful of the nation’s top prospects still uncommitted, the 7-foot center isn’t the last to make his pledge. He likely won’t be, either. This was just all part of the plan for the No. 9 prospect for 2017.
McCoy, whose Central Catholic squad lost in the San Diego Section Division I semifinals on Wednesday, can now shift his focus to his recruitment. He is considering Arizona, Michigan State, Oregon, San Diego State, and UNLV.
Where he will go is still up for debate, but it’s clear that one of those five programs will receive an instant-impact player come the fall.
