Former Mokan Elite Teammates Michael Porter Jr. And Trae Young Ink Game-Changing Signings
Feb 16, 2017
A lightning-quick first step. A soft touch with unlimited range. A feel for the game well beyond his years. Anyone who has spent time watching Norman North (OK) point guard Trae Young throughout his prep career knows just how special of a player he is now and can be in the future.
At 6-foot-1, Young is wired to dominate and has been the undoubted leader for the Timberwolves all season long en route to earning invites to the McDonald’s All-American and Jordan Brand Classic. The No. 12 prospect for 2017 was also tabbed as a Naismith Trophy Player of the Year semifinalist after averaging 43 points per game his senior season.
In February, as seen above via Krossover, Young scored a career-high 62 points in a 103-67 home win over Edmond Memorial. A week later, he decided to stay in the community he has impacted for many years a little longer.
Young will remain in Norman and play for Oklahoma next season and officially signed his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
