Howard Pulley's Daniel Oturu Powers Way To Become Minnesota's Best Big Man
Jun 25, 2017
Daniel Oturu doesn’t always post crazy numbers and isn’t the headlining prospect for Howard Pulley (MN), but he has been as productive as any big man all spring and has returned to the 2018 Flo40 rankings because of it.
Playing with the No. 1 overall seed in Peach Jam and league MVP Tre Jones (Flo40 No. 6), the 6-foot-10 big man and Minnesota commit averaged a double-double of 11.9 points on 63 percent shooting and 10.0 rebounds. The Cretin-Derham Hall (MN) product recorded seven double-doubles in 16 games, including three with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds, and never posted less than five rebounds in any contest.
Oturu, now ranked No. 25, runs the floor well, has strong hands, and uses his athleticism and strength to finish above the rim in traffic. He is the best big man in Minnesota and continues to prove it each he steps on the floor.
